Jhansi, April 15 (NationPress) Hockey Punjab claimed victory in the esteemed 15th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2025 after overpowering Hockey Madhya Pradesh with a score of 4-1 in Division 'A'. Uttar Pradesh Hockey clinched the third place by defeating Manipur Hockey 5-1.
In the decisive match, Hockey Punjab showcased their prowess, defeating Hockey Madhya Pradesh 4-1. Jugraj Singh (30', 49') netted two goals, demonstrating his experience in such high-stakes encounters, thus placing his team in a commanding position for the final. Jaskaran Singh (38') and Maninder Singh (46') each contributed a goal, further distancing their team from the opponents. In response, Pratap Lakra (28') managed to score for Hockey Madhya Pradesh, which ultimately concluded their journey with a silver medal.
