Meerut, Feb 14 (NationPress) As the National Equestrian Championship Showjumping 2024-25 approaches its climax, Surge Stables from Bangalore has established itself as a formidable competitor, securing the leading spots in both the Novice and Medium Tours. Equestrians from all over the nation are participating in this event to exhibit their prowess on challenging courses, creating an exhilarating finale.

This championship, taking place at Modi Equestrian Academy, has seen intense rivalry over the last four days. As riders faced progressively tougher courses, only the elite have earned their spots in the high-stakes Individual Finals scheduled for February 15 and 16. A total of 42 riders have qualified for the Preliminary Tour, alongside 12 from the Novice Tour, 19 from the Medium Tour, and 10 from the Championship Tour, all vying for prestigious accolades.

Col. Jaiveer Singh, Secretary General of the Equestrian Federation of India, commended the high competition level of the championship, highlighting the riders' commitment and talent. “The caliber of talent showcased at this year’s NEC Showjumping Championship has been genuinely outstanding. The riders have tackled increasingly challenging courses, and their performances have been exceptional. With the Individual Finals on the horizon, we are about to witness some of the finest equestrian talent in the nation competing at the highest echelons.”

Surge Stables demonstrated their dominance by winning both the Novice and Medium Tour team events.

Their riders, including Neil, Balaji Vijay Shankar, Thanush Gowda, and Sresht Raju Mantena, exhibited incredible teamwork and talent in the Novice Tour. Meanwhile, Affan Ahmed, Geethika Tikkishetty, Ashraya Butta, and Sresht Raju Mantena spearheaded the efforts in the Medium Tour, achieving yet another podium-topping result.

Chetak Equestrian Sports Academy and RVC Centre & College finished in second and third places in the Novice Tour, respectively, while EGC Stables and Modi Equestrian Academy claimed second and third in the Medium Tour.

As the competition heats up, the forthcoming Individual Finals will present the most technically challenging courses to date. Riders will encounter new obstacles that will test their agility, precision, and composure under pressure. In the event of a tie, an exhilarating jump-off round will determine the ultimate champion.
