New Delhi, March 30 (NationPress) The National President of the Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram), Chandra Shekhar, on Sunday issued a warning to initiate a protest throughout Uttar Pradesh if the government does not provide authorization to openly commemorate the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, which is observed on April 14.

In a correspondence addressed to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Member of Parliament from the Nagina constituency expressed that any obstacles in celebrating the birth anniversary of this Dalit icon would be perceived as a “conspiracy against the Bahujan Samaj and the principles of social justice”.

Chandra Shekhar remarked on the social media platform X, stating, “I have reached out to the Hon'ble Chief Minister @myogiadityanath concerning reports of permission being denied for the celebration of the birth anniversary of the architect of our Constitution, the esteemed Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, and I hope this issue is regarded seriously with prompt action.”

In his letter, Chandra Shekhar noted, “The administration is withholding permissions in several districts of Uttar Pradesh for the celebration of the birth anniversary of the Bharat Ratna… This not only constitutes an attack on Ambedkar's followers but also represents a direct assault on the Constitution and democratic principles.”

Criticizing the alleged misconduct of the administration, the MP stated, “Such occurrences not only highlight the arbitrary nature of the administration but also confirm that certain factions within the government and administration are no longer accountable to the Constitution. The effort to obstruct Baba Saheb's birth anniversary is not only a disrespect to the Bahujan Samaj but a clear infringement of constitutional and democratic rights.”

Chandra Shekhar called for stringent action against officials, urging the government to issue explicit directives in all districts to ensure that no obstacles arise regarding events associated with Ambedkar Jayanti.

“Measures should be implemented against officials exhibiting discriminatory behavior, ensuring that the rights of any social group are preserved in the future,” asserted the founder of Bhim Army.
