Amaravati, Dec 16 (NationPress) Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh stated on Tuesday that the state is pivotal in fostering India-US relations.
During a meeting with Laura Williams, the US Consul General in Hyderabad, various topics were highlighted, including trade, investment, and education.
“It was delightful to meet Ms. Laura Williams today and explore avenues to enhance our enduring strategic alliance with the US. We discussed areas of shared interest, such as innovation, trade, investment, education, and people-to-people connections,” Chief Minister Naidu shared on X.
“With its robust business environment and dynamic Telugu diaspora, Andhra Pradesh remains a key player in India–US relations, and we are dedicated partners for US enterprises and institutions,” he remarked.
The US Consul General also held a separate discussion with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
As per an official communication, a variety of topics were covered in this meeting at the camp office.
In a different post on X, Naidu emphasized the government's commitment to developing a healthcare system that ensures quality healthcare and holistic wellness is accessible and affordable for every citizen of Andhra Pradesh.
“Today, I had an effective meeting with the High-Level Expert Advisory Group (HLEAG) and the Gates Foundation to evaluate key healthcare initiatives, particularly focusing on the Sanjeevani program and enhancing public healthcare throughout the state. I extend my gratitude to Dr. Archana Vyas, Country Director of the Gates Foundation, and the experts from HLEAG for their invaluable insights,” Naidu added.
According to an official statement, Chief Minister Naidu indicated that digital health records under the Sanjeevani initiative, currently being piloted in Kuppam, Chittoor district, will soon be rolled out across the state with support from the Bill Gates Foundation.
The 10-member HLEAG, consisting of national and international medical professionals, participated virtually in the meeting.
Naidu highlighted the importance of using technology to prioritize preventive care. He urged the medical expert team to showcase the advanced medical and health systems implemented in Andhra Pradesh at the upcoming Global AI Convention in Mumbai.
He stated that the digitization of health records for all residents will be completed within a year, with increased focus on the top 10 diseases. Citing the success of the Mustabu program aimed at promoting personal hygiene among tribal students, Naidu asserted that the NDA government is dedicated to establishing a Healthy, Wealthy, and Happy Andhra Pradesh.
