Muzaffarnagar, Jan 13 (NationPress) BJP leader and former Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan addressed a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday, expressing his concerns regarding the conduct of the police.

In his correspondence, Balyan highlighted the issue of his security being revoked. He accused the authorities of removing his security detail due to his vocal stance against the corruption within the Muzaffarnagar Police.

Additionally, he mentioned that he was previously attacked during the Lok Sabha elections and warned that any future assaults would be the responsibility of state government officials.

Balyan also brought to the attention of CM Yogi Adityanath the illegal encroachment on land belonging to a temple and dharamshala in Khanupur village by Mansurpur Distillery.

He stated: "The land of the temple and dharamshala in Khanupur village was illegally transferred with the collusion of previous government officials to Mansurpur Distillery. On January 1, in connivance with Muzaffarnagar police, the distillery occupied the land and filed false cases against the villagers."

Balyan expressed concern that Muzaffarnagar police officers may not have reported this issue to the Chief Minister.

He noted that on January 12, he, along with local villagers, protested at the Mansurpur police station.

Furthermore, he indicated that he had previously filed complaints with senior police officials regarding the Muzaffarnagar police involvement in property disputes, yet no actions have been taken.

In his letter, Balyan called for immediate intervention regarding these matters.

He expressed his confidence in CM Yogi Adityanath's ability to take fair action concerning the land encroachment issue.

Regarding the withdrawal of his security, Balyan mentioned that although he was not worried about his safety, the police's treatment of a former Union Minister raised alarm about the welfare of ordinary BJP workers.
