New Delhi, June 10 (NationPress) The BJP has unleashed a harsh criticism against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, accusing him of disseminating unfounded claims and engaging in intentional misinformation.
This reaction from the BJP followed shortly after the Congress MP raised concerns about the fatalities of train passengers in Maharashtra and charged the government with overlooking serious issues.
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh aimed pointed critiques at the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, asserting he indulges in what he labels as “habitual untruths.”
“Rahul Gandhi's current strategy in the nation is: Disperse lies and sprint away from the truth. Lacking facts, logic, and comprehension, he only issues remarks that foster confusion,” Chugh stated.
He further condemned LoP Gandhi's absence during pivotal situations, remarking, “Repeated untruths coupled with court apologies have become Rahul Gandhi’s routine. When the Election Commission called all political parties to examine the EVMs, your team was absent. Maybe you were holidaying abroad with your international associates. Now that you’re facing defeat, don’t place the blame on others.”
BJP National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain echoed Chugh’s views, praising the achievements of the Modi administration over the past decade.
“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, these 11 years will be inscribed in golden letters. A significant number of individuals have transcended the poverty line, the nation has advanced, and India has emerged as an economic powerhouse,” he remarked.
He accused the Opposition of lacking a viable agenda, asserting, “They lack the audacity to criticize this immaculate government. That’s why they are limited to voicing statements without any substantial action.”
Adding to this narrative, senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi commented that the Congress party has become ensnared in its own “disruptive theatrics.”
“The Congress is currently caught in a chaotic stream of twisted drama. The dynasty that leads it is so ensnared in this ongoing confusion that they cannot see the direction the nation is heading, nor can they appreciate the presence of good governance,” Naqvi noted.
The BJP’s counteroffensive is a direct response to LoP Gandhi's pointed criticism of the Centre, referencing the recent tragic event in Maharashtra where four passengers lost their lives after falling from an overcrowded train. The LoP claimed that the Modi government was neglecting contemporary realities while envisioning dreams for 2047.
“While the Modi government celebrates 11 years of ‘service,’ the truth of the nation is mirrored in the heartbreaking news from Mumbai – several individuals perished after falling from a train,” LoP Gandhi posted on X in Hindi.
