New Delhi, Dec 12 (NationPress) The Uttar Pradesh branch of the Bharatiya Janata Party has unveiled the timeline for electing its state president for the 2025 organizational cycle.
The schedule, released on Friday, details a three-day procedure encompassing the release of voter lists, the submission and examination of nominations, and the formal announcement of results.
On Saturday, December 13, nomination applications for the position of state president and for selecting National Council members were accepted from 2 pm to 3 pm at the party's headquarters in Lucknow. According to party officials, the nomination process proceeded smoothly, with authorized representatives presenting nomination forms on behalf of candidates.
Following the submission, the scrutiny of all nomination papers occurred immediately from 3 pm to 4 pm on the same day. The period for withdrawing nominations was designated between 4 pm and 5 pm.
The final results will be announced on Sunday, December 14, at 1 pm. Should it be necessary, voting will also be conducted that afternoon.
The announcement was made by Mahendra Nath Pandey, the State Election Officer of the BJP. Copies of the notification were distributed to several senior figures, including national election officer N.L. Saxena, central election overseer Vinod Tawde, and state-level organizational leaders such as Dharampal Singh and Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary.
