Haridwar, June 1 (NationPress) Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who has recently marked her 100 days in office, commenced a two-day spiritual journey to Uttarakhand on Sunday, in the company of her family.
The journey commenced with a sacred immersion at the esteemed Har Ki Pauri ghat in Haridwar, followed by a special pooja and prayers dedicated to Goddess Ganga.
After the rituals, CM Gupta shared with the media, "Having completed nearly 100 days in office, I have come to this holy place of Haridwar in Uttarakhand and taken a sacred dip in the Ganga with my family. While bowing at the feet of Maa Ganga, I pray for a Viksit Bharat, where Delhi plays a crucial role as a beacon of prosperity for our nation."
In addition, the Delhi CM, accompanied by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, visited the ashram of spiritual leader Sadhvi Rithambara. They also unveiled the 'Vatsalya Ganga Ashray', a newly established Dharamshala in Haridwar.
CM Gupta's agenda also includes participating in the evening Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh.
According to sources, the Chief Minister is set to visit the Kedarnath shrine on Monday.
The BJP-led government in Delhi celebrated the completion of its first 100 days in power on Saturday. On this occasion, the government released a workbook detailing key public welfare initiatives and developmental milestones achieved under the leadership of CM Gupta.
"On the milestone of 100 days of service from the BJP government in Delhi, we shared a workbook that outlines our significant achievements thus far and our plans for the future," CM Gupta posted on X.
The BJP returned to power in Delhi after a 27-year hiatus, securing a decisive victory in the Assembly elections held in February this year.
The 100-day report card showcases initiatives in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and women's safety, areas that CM Gupta has consistently prioritized during her term.
