Chandigarh, Dec 19 (NationPress) Haryana's Transport Minister Anil Vij expressed on Friday that the Congress party lacks a coherent stance, asserting that the no-confidence motion initiated by them during the Winter Session of the legislative assembly is destined to fail in the House.

The motion was accepted by Speaker Harvinder Kalyan on Thursday, moving forward under Rule 65 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.

This no-confidence motion, endorsed by numerous Congress MLAs, is slated for discussion today.

Characterizing the motion as a “charge sheet” against the government, Congress has accused it of failures across multiple areas, including “vote chori,” a decline in law and order, the tragic suicide of senior IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar, alleged discrepancies in recruitment exams, and the deteriorating state of infrastructure, particularly regarding sports facilities.

In response to inquiries regarding Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s threats of protests over the renaming of MGNREGA, Minister Vij remarked that the Congress is now idle after their defeats and needs to keep their workers engaged with various programs.

“What grievance do they have regarding the name change? Their issue lies with the inclusion of Lord Ram in the title, which seems to disturb them. The Congress has had an issue with Lord Ram since the beginning. They were troubled during the construction of the Ram Temple, they are troubled now that it’s completed, and they are again troubled as devotees visit the temple. Their concern revolves around Ram,” he stated.

Reacting to former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan's claim that not a single Rafale aircraft participated in Operation Sindoor, Minister Vij labeled Chavan a traitor for disrespecting the nation’s soldiers, questioning how he obtained knowledge of sensitive intelligence matters and whom he might be collaborating with.

Vij stated that Chavan's rhetoric does not reflect that of an Indian citizen, suggesting it sounds as if he is speaking under the influence of someone from Pakistan. He proposed that an investigation should be launched to uncover any potential links he might have with individuals from Pakistan.
