New Delhi, Dec 1 (NationPress) The Delhi BJP President, Virendra Sachdeva, expressed disappointment on Monday, stating that it is regrettable that leaders from AAP, including Saurabh Bharadwaj and Sanjay Singh, alongside the Congress, are disparaging the Election Commission and undermining the integrity of Bihar voters by branding them as free-loaders.
The Delhi BJP leader emphasized that by claiming that the BJP arranged a special train for Bihar voters, offering free tickets and cash in exchange for votes, AAP’s Saurabh Bharadwaj has not only insulted the voters of Bihar but also labeled them as free-loaders.
He further noted that until now, similar to other opposition parties, AAP leaders had alleged that Election Commission officials were creating voter lists favoring the BJP, but today they have crossed a line by insulting the voters of Bihar.
Sachdeva asserted that AAP leaders are merely using Bihar as a cover for their statements, driven by their true agenda of opposing Mamata Banerjee’s anti-SIR stance, and are apprehensive about the potential removal of Rohingya, Bangladeshi, and other illegal voters from the voter list in Delhi.
In a separate matter, a spokesperson for the Delhi BJP condemned attempts to politicize the demolition actions carried out by civic agencies in Karol Bagh.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) clarified regarding the recent joint demolition efforts conducted by the Karol Bagh Zone along with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) at DB Gupta Road and adjacent green belt areas.
The MCD stated that this initiative was solely aimed at removing hazardous and dilapidated structures in the designated green belt that posed a threat to public safety.
Importantly, no religious structures, including the Mandir Dargah Baba Shri Peer Ratan Nath Ji Maharaj, were affected during this operation.
Furthermore, the MCD confirmed that all relevant occupants received proper notices prior to the action, with two units notified by MCD and one by DDA, instructing them to vacate the unsafe structures. These had already been identified as hazardous following a technical evaluation, as stated by the Delhi BJP.
The MCD reiterated that the action taken was strictly for public safety and followed due process.
