New Delhi, May 16 (NationPress) The President of Delhi BJP, Virendra Sachdeva, has criticized the former Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP administration, accusing it of sabotaging the careers of countless young individuals by placing them in unauthorized positions across government sectors, including roles from bus marshals to doctors.
Sachdeva claimed that with the BJP now in power, the unlawful appointments made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have been halted. However, he noted that Kejriwal's party continues to engage in political maneuvering without taking responsibility for its past actions.
“In their current absence from power, they are attempting to exploit these unemployed youths to elicit political support,” stated Sachdeva.
He emphasized that, whether they are bus marshals, civil defence volunteers, data operators, or personnel from Mohalla Clinics, the BJP government is dedicated to handling their concerns with care and is actively pursuing legitimate employment solutions.
Sachdeva pointed out that the Kejriwal government had appointed thousands of young people to various government positions on a contractual basis, all while disregarding proper hiring procedures, thus jeopardizing their futures.
There are even claims that the prior administration collected funds in exchange for these contract positions, he added.
He reassured that the BJP government in Delhi has made it clear that Mohalla Clinics will remain operational, although some may transition into Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
Furthermore, the BJP government is committed to supporting contract workers.
“Recently, the BJP Health Minister guaranteed all Mohalla Clinic staff that their contracts would be upheld for another year, along with opportunities for hiring under NHM (National Health Mission) protocols for the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs,” he noted.
Sachdeva remarked that between 2015–16, the Kejriwal administration distributed contract or co-terminus jobs to thousands of youngsters without adhering to any recruitment guidelines.
When investigations were initiated into these irregularities, AAP leaders resorted to political blame games to deflect attention from their government’s failures, he claimed.
