New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) In a demonstration of zero tolerance towards corruption, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the suspension of the Kapashera Sub-Registrar and Mehrauli Tehsildar on Monday, both of whom are accused of engaging in corrupt activities within the Revenue Department.

This decisive action follows numerous complaints and serious allegations of corruption against the officials, as confirmed by a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.

Additionally, the Chief Minister ordered the revocation of the license of a deed writer stationed in Kapashera.

CM Gupta emphasized that the Delhi government maintains a strict stance against corruption at every level, asserting that public officials must exhibit honesty, sensitivity, and accountability.

“If any officer is found negligent or involved in corrupt practices, they forfeit their right to remain in service,” stated CM Gupta.

She reiterated that the public has entrusted the government with the responsibility of efficiently addressing their issues and ensuring prompt resolutions. “Any officer or system that hinders this mission will face stringent and effective consequences,” she added.

The Chief Minister highlighted that this action serves as a precedent and warned that the government will respond decisively to any further complaints of corruption against any department or official, without yielding to pressure or bias.

Gupta cautioned officials that only those who carry out their responsibilities with integrity and a commitment to public service will be permitted to serve in the Delhi government.

In a positive development for 2,500 families from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), the Chief Minister revealed that citizens will soon begin receiving keys to their new flats at Savda Ghevra in the city's northwestern region as the New Year approaches.

This government initiative aims to allocate ready-to-move-in housing units to eligible beneficiaries, reflecting CM Gupta's commitment to enhancing the quality of life and ensuring better living conditions for the less privileged.

She stated that the government's vision extends beyond merely providing permanent housing; the goal is to establish communities for low-income families with access to essential services such as education, healthcare, sanitation, water supply, green spaces, and employment opportunities.

Gupta criticized previous administrations for their failure to grant keys to flats to deserving beneficiaries.

Furthermore, the Savda Ghevra EWS residential colony has been developed on approximately 37.81 acres of land.
