New Delhi, April 16 (NationPress) Delhi's Education Minister, Ashish Sood, expressed his congratulations to students, educators, and families for the remarkable achievements of government schools in the CBSE Class X results 2026. The city has attained a pass percentage of 97.23%, surpassing the national average of 93.70%.

This year’s results show a notable improvement of 2.59% from last year's 94.64%, a testament to the effective educational strategies implemented under the direction of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

Sood emphasized that this success reflects a comprehensive and systemic enhancement evident throughout the entire network of government schools in Delhi, not just in isolated cases.

He pointed out that 457 schools achieved a perfect pass rate this year, a significant increase from 300 in the previous year. Additionally, 924 schools exceeded the 90% pass rate, compared to 529 last year.

Learning outcomes in government schools have consistently improved, showcasing the depth of this transformation, he remarked.

Out of 1,88,460 students who took the exam, 1,83,246 passed. Among standout performers, 26 students achieved scores of 95% and above, 540 scored between 90% and 95%, while 5,202 scored between 80% and 90%.

Sood expressed pride in the fact that girl students led with a pass percentage of 97.37%, surpassing boys at 97.09%.

The Delhi government is dedicated to removing barriers to girls' education, having allocated Rs 90 crore to provide free bicycles to approximately 1.3 lakh girls in Class 9.

He noted that outcomes like these are cultivated in environments prepared for the future.

This year, 9,000 smart classrooms have been created, with a goal of reaching 21,000, along with 175 modern computer labs and 125 digitized libraries.

This infrastructure guarantees equitable access to modern technology for all students, irrespective of their backgrounds.

Additionally, the 75 CM SHRI Schools established by the Delhi government are setting new standards by incorporating AI-powered language and career labs, equipping students not just for exams but for life.

Supported by a robust education budget of Rs 19,148 crore, the government is committed to fostering student confidence, capability, and character.

Sood reaffirmed that under CM Rekha Gupta, Delhi is transitioning from promises to tangible results.

“This achievement is the result of persistent investments in enhanced infrastructure, innovative learning approaches, and a strong focus on nurturing every child's development. Our aim remains clear: to create a world-class educational ecosystem for every child in Delhi,” concluded Sood.
