New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, engaged with a committee formed for the organization of the recently announced ‘Delhi Shabdotsav’ cultural festival, set to take place at the National Stadium next month.
Following the unveiling of the event's poster, CM Gupta received an update from Art and Culture Minister Kapil Mishra regarding the event's timeline and accompanying promotional activities.
CM Gupta shared on X, “Post the poster launch for the ‘Delhi Shabdotsav’ event, the organizing team convened under the guidance of my Cabinet associate, Shri @KapilMishra_IND ji.”
“From January 2 to 4, prominent thinkers, authors, and speakers from all over the nation will gather for the ‘Delhi Shabdotsav’, hosted by the Delhi Government and Suruchi Prakashan at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium. The festival will include book launches, cultural showcases, and a gathering of poets,” the Chief Minister detailed on X.
During this meeting, Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood, MLAs Abhay Verma and Rajkumar Bhatia, along with various esteemed guests, were in attendance.
Earlier, Mishra informed the press that the Art and Culture Department of the Delhi government, in collaboration with a publishing house, will jointly host the nation's largest literary and cultural celebration.
“The Delhi Government is set to hold the largest cultural and literary festival in the country on January 2, 3, and 4. Moving forward, this event will occur annually under the Ministry of Culture and will be branded as the ‘Delhi Shabdotsav’,” Mishra stated to the media.
The festival will showcase over 100 distinguished speakers, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Sunil Ambekar, Manmohan Vaidya, and Sachchidanand Joshi, alongside more than 40 book launches, six cultural performances, and two poets’ gatherings.
“Students from approximately 40 universities across Delhi NCR will also take part in this cultural gathering,” he added.
Mishra mentioned that the festival will feature performances such as Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Bhajan Sandhya, Kavi Sammelan, and Somnath Jyotirlinga Darshan.
The festival will be inaugurated by the Delhi Chief Minister, with Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Chhattisgarh Home Minister Vijay Sharma also attending the event.
