Los Angeles, Dec 4 (NationPress) Academy Award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio shares that he has navigated his career as if it were a marathon rather than a sprint. In a conversation with deadline.com, the 51-year-old star, known for his roles in films such as Catch Me If You Can, The Departed, and The Wolf of Wall Street, expressed: "The most important thing I can convey is that if you truly adore this profession and being an actor, you need to understand that it’s a marathon, not a sprint."

“This doesn’t imply that every choice is crucial. It’s not about avoiding commercial projects or making decisions too hastily. It’s about envisioning your career in the long term—20, 30, 40, or even 50 years down the line—and establishing a foundation that endures. Overexposure may lead to negative effects,” he elaborated.

DiCaprio continued, saying, "If anything, I had a sense early on about the risks of overexposure. Of course, it was a different era back then, where many actors maintained a level of privacy in their personal lives, and audiences knew little beyond what was presented on screen. Today, however, the landscape has shifted dramatically due to social media."

He reflected on his early career, stating he was "very fortunate early on". DiCaprio acted in numerous independent films prior to achieving significant success, as reported by femalefirst.co.uk. He noted: "I witnessed actors building a rich filmography over time, without being overwhelmed by a barrage of films in just a couple of years. That’s not to say you shouldn’t seize opportunities, but it’s crucial to pace yourself and select roles that feature compelling supporting characters that allow you to make a lasting impression in the industry."
