Mumbai, April 1 (NationPress) The creators of the much-anticipated film “Abir Gulaal” released its teaser on Tuesday, showcasing an abundance of love, romance, and playful flirtation.
Vaani and Fawad shared the teaser on their Instagram accounts. It opens with the question “When was the last time you fell in love?” The scene transitions to the Pakistani star serenading “Kuch Na Kaho” by Kumar Sanu from the 1994 film “1942 A Love Story” while driving.
Vaani, seated as the passenger, playfully inquires if he’s trying to flirt with her.
In response, Fawad asks, “Do you want me to?”
The teaser was captioned: “The wait is over! Bringing love back to the big screen with Abir Gulaal and @fawadkhan81. A Richer Lens film @aricherlens. See you in cinemas on 9th May!”
Directed by Aarti S Bagdi and produced by Vivek B Agrawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy, it is set to release on May 9.
The filming for this upcoming romantic narrative began on September 29 last year against the stunning backdrop of London, as announced by the production team Indian Stories.
Last year, director Aarti S Bagdi provided insight into the film's premise, revealing that it centers around love and healing.
Bagdi stated: “The film explores the journey of two individuals who unintentionally help each other heal, with love blossoming as an unexpected outcome.”
The film was shot in the UK throughout October and November. A prominent Bollywood composer has already crafted six original tracks to be performed by top musical talents in Bollywood, according to a statement from the producers.
Fawad, one of Pakistan's most celebrated stars, made his Indian cinematic debut in 2014 with “Khoobsurat”, a romantic comedy-drama featuring Sonam Kapoor, directed by Shashanka Ghosh. This film was loosely based on the 1980 classic of the same name and featured talents like Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Aamir Raza Hussain.
He later starred alongside Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra in the 2016 family drama “Kapoor & Sons” directed by Shakun Batra. His last major Bollywood release was Karan Johar’s “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, which also starred Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
On the other hand, Vaani was last seen in the film “Khel Khel Mein” featuring Akshay Kumar.
