Gandhinagar, Jan 25 (NationPress) On the eve of Republic Day, the Gujarat government recognized 11 police personnel for their exceptional service in upholding law and order throughout the state.
The awards were presented during an official ceremony, where Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel personally honored the recipients, underscoring the dedication and commitment of Gujarat's police force in ensuring public safety.
A total of two Special Service Medals (PSM) and nine Commendable Service Medals (MSM) were awarded to officers and personnel who exhibited outstanding performance in their respective duties.
The Special Service Medals, which acknowledge remarkable contributions to policing, were awarded to Brijesh Kumar Jha, IPS, currently the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Rajkot City, and Digvijaysinh Chudasama, IPS, the Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Police Commissioner’s Office in Gandhinagar.
These officers have been commended for their leadership, operational effectiveness, and steadfast dedication to their responsibilities, making substantial progress in enhancing the safety and security of the state's residents.
The Commendable Service Medals were awarded to a notable group of officers and personnel, including Nilesh Jajadia, IPS, Police Superintendent of the Junagadh Division, and Charag Kordiya, IPS, Police Superintendent of the Border Division in Kutch.
Their efforts in managing intricate security challenges in their regions have been vital for preserving peace and stability.
Ashok Kumar Ramabhai Pandor, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Mehsana, and Devadas Bhikabhai Barad, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Narmada, were also acknowledged for their dedicated efforts in addressing law enforcement challenges in remote areas.
