Gurugram, Jan 14 (NationPress) Two unknown assailants on a motorcycle, wearing helmets, opened fire outside a locked residence in the Ashok Vihar Phase -3 locality of Gurugram during the early hours of Tuesday and quickly fled the area, according to police reports.

The occurrence caused significant panic among local residents.

The property was recently built, with a 'Grah Pravesh' ceremony planned for Wednesday.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during this incident.

A police official familiar with the case stated that over two dozen rounds of ammunition were discharged outside the three-storey dwelling.

Authorities have retrieved multiple empty shell casings from the site.

Investigators are also questioning the complainant for further information.

The house is owned by Ram Niwas, who resides in the Prem Nagar district of Gurugram.

He is a supplier of building materials.

Ram Niwas informed police that he had not received any threatening calls prior to this incident and was taken aback by the occurrence.

Sources indicate that post-shooting, the perpetrators left a note with the name of the Kaushal gang inside the residence.

The note listed names including Kaushal Chaudhary, Pawan Shaukeen, Saurav Gadoli, Bhabhia Group, Bhuppi Rana, and Sukhdeep Buddh, as per the source.

Meanwhile, the police have remained tight-lipped regarding the situation and have not provided additional details.

"We are in the process of filing an FIR against the unknown suspects. The CCTV footage in the vicinity is being reviewed to ascertain the identities of the perpetrators. The investigation is ongoing," stated Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar.
