Gurugram, Aug 17 (NationPress) Unknown assailants unleashed a barrage of gunfire outside the residence of the controversial YouTuber Elvish Yadav in Haryana's Gurugram early Sunday morning, sending shockwaves through the upscale neighborhood.
Authorities reported that the shooting occurred between 5:30 and 6 a.m., with three individuals on motorcycles firing over two dozen rounds at Yadav's property before making their escape. The bullets hit the ground and the first levels of the residence.
The Bigg Boss OTT champion, Yadav, was not at home during the incident. However, his caretaker and several family members were present, thankfully without any injuries.
"On 17.08.2025, around 5:30/6:00 a.m., some unidentified individuals opened fire at a residence under the jurisdiction of Police Station Sector-56, Gurugram. Thankfully, there were no injuries in this incident," stated the Gurugram Police.
Furthermore, the perpetrators are currently at large.
Police units swiftly arrived at the scene, collecting forensic evidence and reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding areas.
Officials confirmed that legal proceedings are underway, with further investigations to follow once Yadav's family files a formal complaint.
Relatives of the YouTuber indicated that he had not previously received any threats. Yadav is presently out of Haryana for professional obligations.

Yadav has been embroiled in controversies following his arrest over allegations of utilizing snake venom as a recreational drug at parties he supposedly organized.
The YouTuber, later granted bail, was named in an FIR submitted at the Sector 49 police station in Noida on November 3, 2023, in response to a complaint from the animal rights NGO People for Animals (PFA).
According to the FIR lodged by the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also initiated a parallel investigation against the influencer under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), questioning him on various matters including rave parties, the supply of snake venom, and its origins.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court temporarily halted the trial court proceedings against Yadav.
As per the computerized case status on the Supreme Court's website, Elvish's SLP is tentatively scheduled for a hearing on September 23.
Senior attorney Mukta Gupta, with the assistance of advocates Raman Yadav and Aman Jha, represented Elvish in the Supreme Court.
