Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Panchkula, Feb 11 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated on Wednesday that the state government is committed to extending the advantages of development to the most disadvantaged segments of society, aligning with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s Antyodaya philosophy.
During his speech at the Samarpan Diwas event, commemorating the death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, he emphasized that the government is dedicated to ensuring that the benefits of progress reach every individual, leaving no citizen behind.
CM Saini highlighted that the nation observes Samarpan Diwas as a reminder that politics should not be about power but about serving the people. He characterized Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya as a leader who had little desire for authority yet profoundly impacted the hearts of many. Saini described him as a paragon of integrity, prioritizing national service over partisan politics.
He further mentioned that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya advocated enduring principles such as integral humanism (Ekatm Manavvad) and ‘Antyodaya’, grounded in India’s rich traditions, culture, and social structure. According to him, the true measure of any society's progress should be based on the circumstances of the most vulnerable.
“The focus on villages, the impoverished, farmers, the marginalized, the oppressed, and tribal communities remained central to his vision. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya firmly believed that national strength is contingent upon empowering the most disadvantaged,” he noted.
CM Saini reiterated that in alignment with the ‘Antyodaya’ principle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promoted the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.” This commitment aims to ensure that all eligible citizens benefit from government programs without bias.
“From providing housing, toilets, Ujjwala gas connections, electricity, and clean drinking water to the underprivileged, to distributing free rations to 80 crore citizens nationwide, these initiatives are a testament to the practical execution of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s principles,” the Chief Minister concluded.
