New Delhi, Aug 11 (NationPress) Shiv Sena (UBT) MP, Priyanka Chaturvedi, expressed her support on Monday for RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's remarks regarding the inaccessibility of education and healthcare for the average citizen, interpreting his statement as a clear condemnation of the current BJP government.

In response to Bhagwat’s comments made during the inauguration of a cancer hospital in Indore on Sunday, Chaturvedi remarked, "I stand by his statements, particularly as he has effectively challenged his own administration. Until they can guarantee affordable healthcare and education in this nation, we cannot consider ourselves a developed country."

She further criticized the ongoing taxation on essential healthcare services, such as health insurance, deeming it both insensitive and unjust. "We have consistently brought up the issue of GST on health insurance. Despite it being a crucial necessity for our vast population, it remains under the tax umbrella. No action has been taken yet," she stated.

On Sunday, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat pointed out that quality education and healthcare have become unreachable for the common individual in India.

During the inauguration event in Indore, he expressed regret that both sectors, previously viewed as public service, have now transformed into fully commercial enterprises. "Previously, these were regarded as forms of service. Now, they have morphed into business ventures, well beyond the grasp of the average citizen," Bhagwat commented.

Chaturvedi also criticized the Election Commission for what she described as "reluctant accountability" regarding the alleged manipulation of voter rolls in Bihar.

In response to the EC's invitation to 30 INDIA Bloc members for a meeting, she stated, "They offered time under duress because they recognize the Opposition is voicing the concerns of the populace. The Constitution guarantees voting rights, which are being undermined through collusion between the BJP and the Election Commission. It’s a disheartening situation for the country."

Additionally, she expressed her support for Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, who is spearheading a campaign claiming voter roll fraud in Karnataka and opposing the Special Intensive Revision in Bihar just before the Assembly elections.

“LoP Rahul Gandhi has raised significant questions, supported by facts. He delivered a thorough media presentation. Earlier, the EC requested proof, and now that it has been provided, they are demanding affidavits,” she concluded.
