Hyderabad, Sep 2 (NationPress) Tragically, two students hailing from Hyderabad lost their lives while five others sustained injuries in a vehicular collision in the United Kingdom, as per reports. The incident occurred on Monday in the city of Essex when two cars collided on the Dual Carriageway A130 at the Rayleigh Spur roundabout.
The group of nine students was returning home in two vehicles after participating in the Ganesh Nimmajanam festivities.
Chaitanya Tarre, aged 23, was pronounced dead at the scene, while Rishiteja Rapolu, aged 21, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Five others were injured, and they were transported to the Royal London Hospital, where the condition of two individuals was reported as critical.
Sai Goutham Ravulla was placed on ventilation, while Nuthan Thatikayala suffered partial paralysis. Others receiving treatment included Yuva Teja Reddy Gurram, Vamshi Golla, and Venkata Sumanth Pentyala.
The drivers, Gopichand Batamekala and Manohar Sabbani, are currently in police custody.
Sai Goutham, who is 30 years old, and the remaining group members were aged between 20 and 23 years, all pursuing higher education in London.
