Key Takeaways
Tehran, March 21 (NationPress) Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, has disclosed that the nation possesses intelligence regarding Israeli intentions to target its infrastructure.
In a message shared on the social media platform X on Friday (local time), he emphasized that Iran will exhibit "zero restraint" if any assaults are made on its infrastructure.
"We are individuals of principles. Iranians do not engage in covert attacks on adversaries while in dialogue. We only respond vigorously when provoked," Araghchi stated, reiterating, "We have intelligence on Israeli plans to strike our infrastructure. Once again: zero restraint if our infrastructure is attacked."
Earlier, in a post on X, Araghchi highlighted Iran's retaliatory measures against energy infrastructure linked to the United States and Israel in the region, remarking, "Our response to Israel’s aggression on our infrastructure utilized just a fraction of our capabilities."
He noted, "The only reason for our restraint was our commitment to the requested de-escalation. But there will be zero restraint if our infrastructures face further attacks. Any resolution to this conflict must address the damages to our civilian sites."
On February 28, Israel and the United States executed coordinated strikes on Tehran and several Iranian cities, resulting in the deaths of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, along with senior military officials and civilians. Iran retaliated by launching multiple missile and drone assaults targeting Israeli and US bases and assets throughout the Middle East.
In a related statement, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian remarked that the nation does not desire conflict with Muslim countries, as reported by the official news agency IRNA.
During a message celebrating Eid al-Fitr, which signifies the conclusion of Ramadan, and Nowruz, which marks the beginning of the Iranian New Year on March 21, the Xinhua news agency reported Pezeshkian's comments.
Addressing the recent escalations between Iran and several Arab nations following the US and Israeli attacks, Pezeshkian stated, "We do not wish to have any disagreements with Muslim nations. Our objective is not conflict with Islamic states; they are our brethren."
He attributed the tensions between Iran and its regional Muslim neighbors to the actions of the United States and Israel.
Pezeshkian also expressed Iran's readiness to resolve any issues with its neighbors, proposing the establishment of a security framework involving Muslim nations in the Middle East to guarantee peace, security, and stability in the region.
