New Delhi, July 2 (NationPress) BJP National Spokesperson Tuhin Sinha delivered a sharp critique of the Congress party on Wednesday, accusing it of forming alliances with radical factions and exhibiting separatist inclinations. He drew comparisons with the political climate before India gained independence, asserting that Congress has transformed into the “modern-day Muslim League.”
“I have stated this before and I reiterate today that the Congress party is akin to the modern-day Muslim League,” Tuhin Sinha remarked, referencing the recent bypoll in Kerala where the Welfare Party of India, linked to Jamaat-e-Islami, provided support to the Congress-led UDF candidate Aryadan Shoukath.
“In the Kerala bypolls, Congress sought the backing of the Jamaat-e-Islami affiliated party,” he added.
Sinha also directed his criticism at Congress leader Priyank Kharge for his recent comments implying that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) would be prohibited if Congress secured power in 2029. “Yesterday, Priyank Kharge threatened that if Congress comes to power in 2029, they will ban the RSS. This clearly indicates that the RSS is the only organization actively opposing such radical factions,” Sinha asserted.
