Jagdeep Dhankhar to Speak to Students at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Tomorrow

New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will be visiting Jammu & Kashmir this Friday to act as the Chief Guest at the 10th convocation ceremony of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, taking place at the Matrika Auditorium Campus in Jammu.
Additionally, the Vice President plans to visit the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple and Bhairon Baba Mandir, as per an official statement.
Dhankhar, who regularly engages with university students, has emphasized the importance of quality education for everyone – a goal that is rapidly becoming a reality in the nation.
He has also praised the current educational system for being devoid of corruption and favoritism, stating, "We are living in times of hope and possibility. Today, you can fully realize your potential and dreams."
Earlier this month, while addressing students at Jiwaji University in Gwalior, he characterized investment in education as a means to secure both present and future growth, advocating for a shift from incremental to vertical advancement.
"We must also ensure there is no commercialization of education – education is a service and should be regarded as such," he remarked, honoring Maharaja Shrimant Jiwajirao Scindia's vision for education.
"The late Maharaja, with remarkable energy and steadfast dedication, personified the spirit of service and nation-building. He worked tirelessly to foster nationalism and allow it to flourish," he noted.
Dhankhar expressed that the Maharaja's educational vision should continue, urging industries, businesses, and corporations to invest in education and contribute to institutional growth through CSR funds.
At public gatherings, the Vice President has also stressed the importance of enhancing the rural economy.
"There can be no more critical resolution for the nation's economy than rural development and farmer upliftment. I have noticed farmers expressing concerns about various issues. It is essential that if any segment of society feels troubled within a democratic framework, it should be addressed positively and swiftly. In a democracy, the sole pathway for resolution is dialogue," he stated in a recent post on X.
"I have consistently stated that dialogue is the only avenue to resolve issues in a democracy. Furthermore, our Prime Minister has reiterated on global platforms that the pressing challenges we face can only be addressed through dialogue," he concluded.
