She has been wanted in connection with FIR No. 10/2023 under section 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at ANTF Jammu, and had evaded capture for three years.
The accused is implicated in the trafficking of over 7 kilograms of charas, which was being transported to Mumbai via courier services.
Despite being on the run since the initiation of cases in various states, the dedicated efforts of the ANTF led to her strategic capture from her home in Batamaloo, Srinagar, on Thursday.
The statement further emphasized, "The persistent dedication of ANTF Jammu and Kashmir, combined with intelligence-driven operations, culminated in this successful arrest, underscoring their commitment to combatting drug-related crimes."
Moreover, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces are implementing a comprehensive strategy to address terrorism in the region.
Operations by police and security forces are focusing on terrorists, their associates, and sympathizers.
Additionally, drug traffickers and those engaged in hawala money laundering are under scrutiny, as it's believed that the revenue generated from these illicit activities is utilized to sustain terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
This coordinated initiative by the joint forces aims to dismantle the entire support infrastructure for terrorism in the union territory, rather than merely concentrating on armed terrorists.
Responsibilities such as monitoring infiltration, ex-filtration, and drug trafficking are managed by the Army and the BSF.
