Is TDP Mahanadu a 'Hollow Spectacle' as Lakshmi Parvathi Claims?

Hyderabad, May 29 (NationPress) Lakshmi Parvathi, the wife of the late N.T. Rama Rao and General Secretary of YSR Congress Party, criticized the recent Mahanadu event held by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Kadapa, calling it a "hollow spectacle" focused on sycophancy and propaganda rather than genuine public issues.

She accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son, Nara Lokesh, of transforming the event into a platform for deception and opportunism.

During a press conference, she expressed her disappointment, asserting that Naidu and Lokesh misplaced their confidence in the assumption that the people of Kadapa would vote for them unconditionally, ultimately tarnishing the event's reputation.

"Instead of commemorating NTR’s legacy on his birth anniversary with discussions on public welfare, they have turned Mahanadu into a forum for disparaging Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The TDP’s desperation was evident as they resorted to burning their own flags and pamphlets to fabricate a misleading narrative. The so-called ‘Super Six’ promises made by the father were contradicted by the son, revealing their lack of coherence and commitment," Lakshmi Parvathi stated.

She also condemned Naidu and Lokesh for their misuse of AI technology to create a false illusion of NTR endorsing them, labeling this tactic as a new low in their unethical politics.

"Historical documents, including recordings of NTR criticizing Chandrababu Naidu, serve as undeniable proof of their betrayal. Lokesh’s claim to NTR’s legacy is absurd; true heirs to NTR’s legacy can only emerge from the Nandamuri family, not the Nara clan," she remarked.

She emphasized that Naidu’s involvement in NTR’s demise is well-known and criticized him for exploiting NTR’s name for financial gain. "How could a person with just two acres of land accumulate such wealth? The TDP’s manipulation of NTR’s legacy through AI is not just unethical, it is heartbreaking," she lamented.

According to her, Mahanadu is not a celebration of progress, but rather a day of betrayal, asserting that the TDP has damaged Andhra Pradesh by driving away major industries. Their policies, particularly the promotion of liquor, have led to family devastation, she claimed.

"Chandrababu Naidu’s Mahanadu serves as a facade for laundering illicit funds through donations and misappropriating money from the skill development scam into party funds. Why does the Enforcement Directorate ignore Chandrababu Naidu's actions?" she questioned.

She criticized the TDP for taking credit for the development of schools under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Nadu-Nedu initiative.

"Jagan Mohan Reddy has consistently delivered on his promises, earning global recognition for his leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic, while Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh have become a burden on the state," she concluded.
