New Delhi, Feb 5 (NationPress) Former President of the Delhi BJP and three-time Member of Parliament representing North East Delhi, Manoj Tiwari, expressed his appreciation on Thursday for the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for unveiling a groundbreaking Union Budget 2026-27.
During a press briefing, Tiwari remarked that while anyone can simply draw a line on butter, the 2026 Budget represents a significant effort to carve a line on stone, shaping the future of India towards 2047.
He stated that this budget, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, is designed to transform India into a developed country by 2047.
Tiwari emphasized that this budget stands apart from previous ones. In the past, the focus was primarily on the extent of tax relief provided. Each year, small tax concessions were offered to appease the public.
“However, thanks to the faith the public has in PM Modi, expectations for this budget extended beyond mere income tax relief; they centered on a strategic vision for making India a developed nation by 2047—a vision that the Finance Minister has successfully met,” he remarked.
Tiwari pointed out that had it been a Congress government, they would have squandered time by offering a meager tax relief of Rs 50,000 each year, while PM Modi’s administration has already made income up to Rs 12 lakh tax-exempt in the previous year.
He reiterated that the Finance Minister accurately stated that this budget aims to establish India as a developed nation by 2047.
The press conference was organized by Delhi Pradesh Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, and featured Media Relations Head Shri Vikram Mittal and State Spokesperson Dr. Mamta Tyagi.
Praveen Shankar Kapoor noted that the Orange Economy proposal included in the 2026 Budget will serve as a catalyst for empowering India’s youth.
Tiwari acknowledged that both the opposition and the general populace have consistently raised concerns regarding youth employment opportunities. With this in mind, the government has ensured that skill centers will be established in every district, not just in metropolitan areas and large urban centers.
He reiterated PM Modi's focus on four key demographics—youth, women, farmers, and the underprivileged. “Without skilled youth, who will provide them with jobs? Hence, the establishment of skill centers is crucial,” he stated.
He also mentioned that the budget includes provisions to position India as a global data hub.
“If India can supply food grains to 170 countries and deliver vaccines even to nations like the US, why can’t it emerge as a data hub? The youth of our nation, along with the government, are committed to making India the world’s data hub,” he concluded.
