New Delhi, March 13 (NationPress) Maruti Suzuki India Limited, a leading player in the automotive industry, announced on Friday that its highly sought-after sedan, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing 3 million sales in India.
The automobile giant highlighted that the Dzire was the best-selling car in India during the calendar year 2025 and continues to lead the sedan market with significant customer loyalty.
Launched in 2008, the Dzire has undergone four generations of evolution, solidifying its position as a cornerstone of the company's lineup.
The latest fourth-generation version showcases a revamped design, enhanced interiors, and superior safety features, specifically targeting younger consumers and first-time car buyers.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed his sincere appreciation to the 3 million Dzire customers for their support in reaching this incredible milestone.
"The fourth-generation Dzire has revitalized the sedan market with its polished and elegant design. It is particularly favored by young first-time buyers, who represent nearly 50% of our customer base," he stated.
Banerjee noted that a broad array of comfort and convenience features, coupled with a 5-star safety rating, has resonated well with changing consumer demands.
Over the years, the Dzire has been a pioneer in its segment, introducing several advanced features, including dual front airbags, automatic climate control, and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) in earlier models.
Later iterations included automated manual transmission (AGS), dual-tone interiors, LED projector headlamps, alloy wheels, and sophisticated infotainment systems.
Additionally, the model has secured a five-star safety rating from both the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme and the Global New Car Assessment Programme.
Earlier this January, Maruti Suzuki reported a 12% year-on-year (YoY) growth, having sold 2.37 lakh vehicles in that month, as per official statistics.
On Friday, Maruti Suzuki's shares traded approximately 4% lower at Rs 12,490 each on the BSE.
