A senior police official disclosed that the two militants, affiliated with the Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG), were taken into custody in the Imphal East district on Thursday evening.
In a separate mission, security forces uncovered six advanced weapons and a significant quantity of ammunition at the foothills of Salungpham Mamang Leikai near Ringpam village, located within the Thoubal district.
