Mumbai, June 10 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, remarked on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India have forged a remarkable partnership on the international front, with India's standing significantly enhanced during the Modi administration.
In a statement to the media, he indicated that over the past 11 years, the various initiatives launched by the Narendra Modi government have instigated a profound transformation in the lives of the underprivileged, women, youth, Dalits, and individuals from diverse backgrounds across the nation.
"India is positioning itself as the fastest-growing economy under the Modi government. The nation has witnessed the establishment of numerous new job opportunities. Approximately 1.8 lakh new enterprises have been registered, with several outdated laws being abolished and new, socially-focused legislation being enacted. The production and export of electronics have surged sixfold. Infrastructure has seen significant expansion, with the number of airports rising to 86. The Railway Budget has been augmented, Vande Bharat trains have revolutionized rail travel, the Metro network is expanding, and railway stations are undergoing renovation through the Amrit Bharat initiative. By 2025, highway construction is progressing at a remarkable pace of 24 km per day. New drinking water initiatives have been launched, rural road development has accelerated, and 214 lakh gram panchayats have been connected with optical fiber. Additionally, there has been a substantial rise in the development of renewable energy sources like solar and nuclear power," the Chief Minister elaborated.
"During this time, Maharashtra's progress has gained momentum thanks to various national development initiatives, and the state expresses gratitude to the Narendra Modi government. Railway projects worth ₹2.5 lakh crore are currently underway in Maharashtra. In just one year, the Modi government has allocated more funds for Railways than the state received in ten years under the previous UPA government. Infrastructure projects worth ₹6 lakh crore are active in the state. The Modi administration has set a record by approving 30 lakh houses for impoverished beneficiaries in a single year. All beneficiary lists for the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana have been finalized, and new lists are being prepared as suggested by the Centre," Fadnavis stated.
He highlighted that many stalled development projects in the state have been revitalized due to the efforts of the Modi government.
Fadnavis expressed that this transformative era commenced under PM Modi's leadership, fostering development and bringing newfound joy to the lives of ordinary citizens.
Under the Mudra Yojana and Standup India initiatives, loans amounting to ₹14,700 crore have been provided to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, promoting self-reliance and improving their living standards, the Chief Minister noted.
He further added that 51 percent of Mudra Yojana beneficiaries belong to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and due to direct benefits, 25 crore individuals have been lifted above the poverty line.
