Jaipur, Feb 26 (NationPress) On February 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Ajmer, Rajasthan to initiate the HPV vaccination campaign, where he will personally administer the inaugural dose of the HPV vaccine to girls aged between 9 and 14 years.

During his visit, he is also set to address a public assembly, unveiling and laying the groundwork for numerous development projects totaling Rs 16,686 crore, a collaborative effort between the Central and state governments. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will join the Prime Minister for this significant event.

The HPV Vaccination Campaign is a vital advancement in the fight against cervical cancer and aims to bolster the health of adolescent girls. This initiative seeks to shield young girls from cervical cancer through proactive vaccination while simultaneously raising awareness about women’s health and enhancing access to healthcare services throughout the state.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 43 substantial projects spanning various sectors, including urban development, drinking water supply, roadways, railways, irrigation, energy, and industrial infrastructure.

Among these, approximately 34 state government initiatives valued at Rs 8,554 crore pertain to various departments such as Urban Development, Public Health Engineering, Public Works, Energy, Water Resources, and Industry.

Additionally, nine significant national highway and energy projects worth around Rs 8,132 crore will be dedicated to the nation, encompassing two foundation stones and seven inaugurations.

The national highway projects, exceeding Rs 4,516 crore, include a 4-lane Greenfield Expressway from Bandikui to Jaipur (Rs 1,207 crore), an 8-lane carriageway from NH-76 Junction to Ummedpura Village on NH-12 (Part of the Delhi-Vadodara Access Controlled Greenfield Expressway), and the expansion and fortification of various National Highways statewide. Projects in Jaipur and Jodhpur feature an elevated road from the Sanganer Flyover to the Malpura Gate via Chauradiya Petrol Pump (₹286 crore), a 4-lane elevated road from Mahamandir to Akhaliya Square in Jodhpur (Rs 1,243 crore), and the Malbamori-Mangrol-Baran State Highway in Baran district (Rs 322 crore).

Reinforcing the commitment to providing clean and safe drinking water, the foundation stone for four packages of the Nonera Major Drinking Water Project (Rs 1,021 crore) and for five packages of the Parwan Akawad Major Drinking Water Project (Rs 2,247 crore) will also be laid.

A transmission system valued at Rs 3,616 crore will be inaugurated to facilitate seamless power transmission from renewable energy hubs across Rajasthan.

Moreover, five 220 kV and two 400 kV Grid Sub-Stations (GSS) will have their foundations laid.

The Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for infrastructure and drinking water projects in the Jodhpur Pali Marwar Industrial Area (JPMIA), focused on enhancing industrial growth, attracting investment, and creating job opportunities in western Rajasthan.

Furthermore, he will distribute appointment letters to 21,863 selected candidates across various departments and organizations of the Rajasthan government. These appointments encompass over 3,320 Patwaris (Revenue Department), 2,291 Contract Junior Technical Assistants and Contract Accounts Assistants (Rural Development), 2,590 Livestock Assistants, 3,822 Community Health Officers (CHOs), 7,357 Public Health Care Nurses, Medical Lab Technicians, Lab Technicians, Nursing Incharges, Nursing Trainers, Nurse Grade-II, and other healthcare personnel.

This visit signifies a monumental step towards reinforcing healthcare, infrastructure, industrial advancement, and job creation in Rajasthan.
