Mumbai, Oct 8 (NationPress) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi marks 24 years as the head of government and enters his 25th year, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) spokesperson Shriraj Nair stated that the nation is currently guided by development-focused politics. He emphasized that following the rise of the Modi administration, India has genuinely embarked on a journey of advancement.
In an interview with IANS, Shriraj Nair remarked, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after spending 25 years as both Chief Minister of Gujarat and Prime Minister of India, has steered the country towards a new course. During the UPA era, Hindus faced challenges due to appeasement politics and the misleading narrative of Hindu terrorism. However, with the Modi government in charge, India has taken significant strides towards development. Landmark initiatives like the construction of the Lord Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the repeal of Article 370 have been realized. Presently, the nation thrives on the politics of progress, as evidenced by the inauguration of the new airport and metro in Mumbai.”
He further discussed a six-member delegation from West Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress that visited Agartala, Tripura, on Wednesday to evaluate the “political landscape” in the state. This visit occurred immediately after BJP workers reportedly vandalized the party’s office.
Nair commented, “The government led by Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal is engaging in appeasement politics, rendering life increasingly challenging for Hindus. Atrocities against Hindu women, along with physical assaults on MPs and MLAs, are being documented on video and shared across the nation and abroad. The West Bengal government is essentially relegating Hindus to a second-class status by catering to the Muslim community. The citizens of Bengal are suffering due to this, and the Mamata Banerjee administration is bound to face repercussions in the forthcoming assembly elections.”
At the same time, during a press conference at Kolkata’s Trinamool Bhavan, Bengal Minister Shashi Panja vehemently criticized the Tripura government and its police force.
“We are witnessing an intolerant and violent BJP administration in Tripura. The events of Monday illustrate how those who profess to defend democracy are acting contrarily. The video evidence is irrefutable,” she claimed, asserting that the vandalism occurred under the watch of the police, whom she labeled “mute spectators.”
