New Delhi, Oct 5 (NationPress) A 36-year-old man, a convicted murderer who absconded from parole, has been apprehended in Anand Vihar, Delhi, according to police reports on Sunday.

The individual has been identified as Deepak Kumar, also known as Sanjay, residing in Village Soop, situated in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, as stated by the authorities.

Authorities recovered a .32 bore sophisticated illegal pistol along with six live cartridges from the suspect's possession.

Acting on credible intelligence, a rapid and coordinated operation was executed by Inspector Satendra Khari/ISC's team of the Crime Branch, including Sub Inspectors Amit Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, ASI Randhir, and Head Constables Sanoj, Brijesh, Surender, and Lalit, all under the guidance of Ramesh Lamba, ACP/ISC, on September 30, resulting in Kumar's capture.

The team successfully apprehended the suspect after conducting surveillance and setting a trap at the Anand Vihar Bus Terminal.

Multiple courts in Delhi have declared Kumar a Proclaimed Offender (PO).
