Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh), March 25 (NationPress) The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) has played a crucial role in transforming the livelihoods of millions of farmers nationwide. This initiative guarantees financial aid of Rs 2,000 every three months, enabling farmers to cover both agricultural and domestic expenses.

Farmers utilize this financial support for purchasing fertilizers, seeds, and agricultural tools, while others allocate it for household costs.

In the Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh, several farmers shared their experiences with IANS, highlighting the advantages of this prominent scheme.

Jagdish Patidar, a farmer from Kanavati village, stated, “We have received 10-12 payments in our bank accounts so far. We use this sum for our farming requirements, including seeds and medicines.”

“In the past, we received no support. Now, thanks to PM Modi, the funds are transferred directly to our accounts,” he added.

Ganeshram Dhakad, another farmer from Neemuch, expressed his joy at being a beneficiary of the scheme.

“We have received over 15 payments. This program has changed our lives, allowing us to withdraw funds from the bank for our expenditures,” he remarked.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred the 19th installment of PM-KISAN directly to farmers' accounts. During this event, more than 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.41 crore women farmers, benefited, with financial support exceeding Rs 22,000 crore disbursed via Direct Bank Transfer (DBT), ensuring the elimination of middlemen in the process.

The PM-KISAN scheme, launched by PM Modi in February 2019, aims to address the financial needs of land-owning farmers. Under this initiative, Rs 6,000 is deposited into the beneficiaries' accounts through DBT in three installments of Rs 2,000 each.
