This initiative offers guaranteed financial help of Rs 2,000 every quarter, enabling farmers to manage their agricultural and household expenses.

Farmers are utilizing this financial aid for a variety of needs, such as acquiring fertilizers, seeds, and farming equipment, while others are using it to address critical household expenses.

In the Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh, numerous farmers shared their stories with IANS, emphasizing the beneficial effects of this flagship initiative.

They expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for rolling out the PM-KISAN program, which has significantly transformed their circumstances.

IANS spoke with several beneficiaries of the scheme.

Dilip Sauraniya, a beneficiary, stated, "I am receiving benefits from PM KISAN. I get Rs 6,000 annually, which I use to purchase fertilizers. Thanks to this scheme, we have gained numerous advantages."

The PM-KISAN scheme, a central government initiative, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2019 to address the financial requirements of land-holding farmers. Under this program, Rs 6,000 is directly transferred in three equal installments to the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

A farmer-focused digital framework ensures that the scheme's advantages reach farmers nationwide without intermediary involvement, maintaining complete transparency in the registration and verification of beneficiaries.

On February 24, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 19th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme in Bhagalpur, Bihar. This disbursement benefited over 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.41 crore female farmers, with direct financial assistance exceeding Rs 22,000 crore through DBT.

This initiative reaffirms the government's commitment to farmer welfare and agricultural prosperity. With this installment, the program continues to assist farmers nationwide, further confirming the government's dedication to rural development and agricultural progress.
