Patna, Nov 21 (NationPress) Just a day after being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the tenth time, Nitish Kumar designated portfolios to the 26 ministers within his newly formed Cabinet.
The Council of Ministers features representatives from various parties, including Janata Dal-United, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Hindustani Awam Morcha, Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has retained oversight of the General Administration, Election Monitoring, and several other significant departments.
A noteworthy shift occurred with the pivotal Home Department, which was previously under Nitish Kumar, now assigned to Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
This transition means that policing and law-and-order duties will now directly fall under Deputy CM Choudhary's purview.
Previously, he managed the Finance and Commercial Tax sectors.
