Hyderabad, May 1 (NationPress) Reinforcing his strong stance against Pakistan, AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi asserted on Thursday that India must decisively eliminate Pakistan-based terrorism and suggested that India should take control of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

He emphasized that India should not merely "enter and eliminate" but rather "enter and establish a presence."

"Ghar mein ghus ke baith jao," he urged the Union government, advocating for decisive measures against terrorism this time around.

Owaisi criticized the Modi government for not capturing the territories from which terrorists launch their attacks during their operations in 2019.

"This is positive. We ought to seize it," he remarked in response to reports of the Pakistani Army vacating their positions along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir.

"You mention they have vacated (posts). If that is true, we should go and occupy those areas. We shouldn't leave. Should any action be taken this time, we must enter and establish our presence," he stated.

When questioned about whether India should annex PoK, the MP referenced a resolution in Parliament that asserts PoK belongs to India.

"The BJP claims 'ghar mein ghus ke...'. I assert 'ghar mein ghus ke baith jao'. This terrorism must be eradicated," he stated.

Owaisi called for an end to the recurring terrorist onslaughts, recalling incidents at Lumbini Park, Dilsukh Nagar, and the Mumbai attacks.

"I know a man named Sharma sahab, a Telugu scholar. He lost his daughter. Occasionally, he visits me and shares how much he misses her. During the 26/11 attacks, a bride from Nizamabad lost her life at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai, her hands adorned with mehndi. Incidents like Pulwama, Uri, Pathankot, and Reasi have occurred. All opposition parties are urging the government to put an end to this," Owaisi emphasized.

He urged the Modi administration to pass legislation in Parliament to exceed the 50 percent limit on reservations. He pointed out that if the government is willing, this bill can be easily passed in the upcoming monsoon session, as support from all MPs is assured. He questioned what is preventing the government from enacting the bill.

Welcoming the decision to conduct a caste survey, he stated it is crucial for identifying both developed and underdeveloped castes for affirmative action and ensuring justice across the nation.

Owaisi demanded that the BJP-led government disclose a timeline for the caste survey. "The government must inform the public when it will initiate the caste survey and whether the report will be available before the 2029 elections," he queried.

He strongly advocated for surpassing the 50 percent limit on reservations, noting that 85 percent of the population remains confined to less than a 50 percent quota, with OBC reservation limited to just 27 percent.

According to Owaisi, the caste survey will unveil how 85 percent of the population has been marginalized under the guise of Hindu-Muslim divisions.

"The BJP continually speaks of pasmanda Musalman (backward Muslims). The survey will expose their plight and deprivation, as well as shed light on the status of non-pasmanda Musalman," he asserted.

He highlighted that the caste census in Telangana indicated that backward castes in the state account for 56.32 percent. The state Assembly has also passed a resolution advocating for 42 percent reservation for these backward castes.

The AIMIM president accused the BJP of displaying "hypocrisy" regarding 'Pasmanda Musalman'.

"The BJP enacted the Waqf Act claiming it wants to include pasmanda Musalman on Waqf boards. If the BJP genuinely cares for pasmanda Musalman, why does it oppose reservations for them?" he questioned.

He noted that backward classes among Muslims in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh currently receive 4 percent reservation. He explained that this reservation is determined by social and educational backwardness rather than religion.

Owaisi challenged the BJP to abolish reservations for Muslims in Andhra Pradesh, where it is currently allied with the Telugu Desam Party.
