New Delhi, Oct 6 (NationPress) BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has taken aim at AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, accusing him of perpetually deceiving both the nation and the Muslim community in pursuit of vote bank politics.
This criticism arises during Owaisi’s Seemanchal Nyay Yatra in Bihar as the Assembly elections approach.
In an interview with IANS, Chugh stated, “Owaisi’s constant fabrications mislead the country and the Muslim community for mere political gain. This entire scheme is orchestrated for trivial political advantages. The reality is that the Waqf Amendment Act has no relation to mosques, dargahs, or graveyards. This law was instituted to ensure that Zakat funds are directed specifically to impoverished Muslims, widows, destitute children, and Pasmanda Muslims. It aims to liberate Waqf properties from the grips of land mafias and corruption, ultimately benefiting the underprivileged in the Muslim community.”
Chugh also responded to the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, who has been accused of consistently defaming India internationally and undermining its cultural values.
“It’s disheartening that Rahul Gandhi continues to launch attacks against the country from abroad. He travels overseas to criticize India's institutions, democracy, leadership, and policies—creating confusion and spreading misinformation. Rahul Gandhi has become a habitual offender in this regard,” Chugh remarked.
He added, “In 2014, the citizens of the nation eradicated corruption and dynastic politics through democratic means by electing a transparent government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has delivered exceptional performance. The royals who plundered the nation’s resources between 2004 and 2014, defrauding Rs 12 lakh crore in scams like coal, Colgate, and 2G, have been rejected by the populace, especially the common citizens, who metaphorically showed them the door.”
Chugh concluded, “In the past 11 years, the Modi government has achieved historic and groundbreaking success, demonstrating that honesty and development are paramount in politics. Every citizen has turned down incompetent, inexperienced leaders like Rahul Gandhi in numerous consecutive elections. The populace has resolved that parties that speak against the country will remain in the Opposition.”
