New Delhi, Feb 6 (NationPress) The Polish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Wladyslaw Bartoszewski, has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, referring to him as a “very charismatic” and “phenomenal leader”, stating that India is fortunate to have him at the helm.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Bartoszewski remarked that PM Modi has significantly transformed India with his ambitious vision. He commended the nation’s progress, asserting that it is advancing positively under Modi's guidance.
“I believe the Prime Minister (Modi) is a phenomenal leader. His charisma is evident from his multiple elections and re-elections. He has dramatically altered India and possesses a highly ambitious vision for the future. We are all quite impressed by his initiatives and accomplishments,” Bartoszewski shared in his conversation with IANS during his visit to New Delhi.
“On a personal note, I find him to be an incredibly charming and pleasant individual. Many Indians likely share this sentiment, as they follow his guidance which has significantly advanced India since my youth. Today, India stands as the fourth-largest economy and is progressing rapidly under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Hence, I would say you are lucky to have such a Prime Minister,” he added.
During his visit, Bartoszewski highlighted the strategic partnership agreement established between Poland and India during PM Modi's visit to Warsaw in 2024, stating that the relationship between the two nations continues to flourish.
“The ties between India and Poland are on a positive trajectory. We signed a strategic partnership agreement with Prime Minister Modi during his historic visit to Poland in 2024, which was the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 45 years. It was a remarkably successful visit. We have also finalized the Free Trade Agreement with the European Union, which we are part of. We explored various avenues concerning military cooperation, digital industry collaboration, security matters, IT investments in high technology, and space cooperation, among other sectors,” said Bartoszewski after a constructive meeting with the Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs, Sibi George, in New Delhi, where both parties reviewed the India-Poland strategic partnership and discussed the key deliverables of the 2024-2028 Action Plan.
Bartoszewski indicated that both countries are engaged in discussions on business, politics, security, and other cooperative matters.
Looking ahead to upcoming visits of Polish and Indian leaders, he stated, “We are planning a visit from our Deputy Minister for Digital Affairs next month. I will return in March, and our Deputy Minister for Development and Technology is also set to visit in March. We are arranging a trip by our Prime Minister to Delhi later this year and are discussing visits from various officials, including Dr S Jaishankar, to Poland later this year.”
“I would assert that we are discussing business, politics, security, and a vast array of cooperation. The potential is limitless. Recently, two astronauts—one Indian and one Polish—made it to orbit, symbolizing our cooperation for the future,” he added.
India and Poland elevated their bilateral relationship to the status of ‘Strategic Partnership’ during PM Modi's visit to Poland in 2024. Both sides also agreed on a five-year Joint Action Plan for 2024-2028.
