Meerut, Feb 22 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Meerut Metro and the Namo Bharat train at Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station on Sunday, marking a significant advancement in the government's initiative to enhance regional connectivity and urban mobility within the National Capital Region (NCR).
The Prime Minister also unveiled the 82 km long Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor and opened the remaining segments of RRTS, including a 5 km stretch between Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar in Delhi, along with the 21 km stretch from Meerut South to Modipuram in Uttar Pradesh.
During the event, he took a metro ride to Meerut South Station and engaged with passengers and students on board.
