The Prime Minister will be the one to inaugurate this complex, which includes both Seva Teerth and Kartavya Bhavan-1 & 2.
This inauguration will signify a pivotal moment for India’s governance structure, as Seva Teerth will house not only the PMO but also the National Security Council Secretariat and the Cabinet Secretariat.
Within Kartavya Bhavan-1 & 2, key ministries such as the Ministry of Finance, Defence, Health & Family Welfare, and Education will be operational.
According to officials, PM Modi will unveil the name of the Seva Teerth building complex at approximately 1:30 p.m. Following that, he will formally inaugurate Seva Teerth and Kartavya Bhavan-1 & 2, and address a public gathering at Seva Teerth around 6 p.m.
The new complex embodies Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a modern, efficient, accessible, and citizen-focused governance system. The building features digitally integrated offices, organized public interaction zones, and centralized reception areas.
These elements will promote collaboration, efficiency, seamless governance, enhanced citizen interaction, and improved employee satisfaction.
Constructed in accordance with 4-Star GRIHA standards, the complexes utilize renewable energy technologies, incorporate water-saving measures, manage waste effectively, and have high-performance building envelopes.
"These initiatives significantly mitigate environmental impact while boosting operational effectiveness. The complexes also include robust safety and security systems, featuring smart access control, surveillance networks, and advanced emergency response mechanisms, ensuring a secure environment for officials and visitors," stated an official.
This new, cutting-edge building in the Central Vista area is equipped with future-ready facilities, creating a modern working environment that was previously lacking in South Block.
As per available reports, numerous significant ministries, including the Ministry of Finance, Defence, Health & Family Welfare, Corporate Affairs, Education, Culture, Law & Justice, Information & Broadcasting, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Chemicals & Fertilizers, and Tribal Affairs, will operate from Kartavya Bhavan-1 & 2.
