In a post shared on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister noted that on the significant occasion of Yugabda 5127, Vikram Samvat 2082, and Phalguna Shukla Ashtami, the inaugural meeting of the Union Cabinet took place at Seva Tirtha.

“Today, coinciding with Yugabda 5127, Vikram Samvat 2082, and Phalguna Shukla Ashtami, the first gathering of the Central Cabinet was convened at the newly established Seva Tirtha,” Prime Minister Modi remarked.

He characterized the meeting as historic, stating that numerous groundbreaking decisions were made for the welfare of the nation.

“On this occasion, the Cabinet also determined that Seva Tirtha, founded on the principles of Swadeshi thinking, a modern architecture, and the boundless potential of 140 crore citizens, will perpetually advance the sacred duty-yajna of national service,” PM Modi expressed.

Describing the structure as a representation of New India’s revival, he highlighted that after independence, the Prime Minister’s Office operated from South Block, preserving its legacy while shaping the future.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized that Seva Tirtha embodies a vision of an India that is deeply rooted in its traditions, boasts a contemporary form, and possesses limitless capabilities.

He also recalled the historical importance of the location, pointing out that Seva Tirtha was built on the site where temporary barracks existed during the British period.

“Establishing a dynamic institution of national governance at this site symbolizes the transformation of New India,” PM Modi asserted.

The Prime Minister underscored that constitutional values will steer the work culture at Seva Tirtha.

PM Modi reiterated that governance from this premise will be tied to the dignity, equality, and justice of every citizen.

The Cabinet reaffirmed that each decision made there will be inspired by the ethos of “Nagrik Devo Bhava”, which translates to treating the citizen as divine.

Prime Minister Modi stated that the primary aim will be to simplify life for the most marginalized individuals in the country while fortifying a governance framework that is transparent, compassionate, and accountable.
