Ahmedabad, Jan 12 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday encouraged German enterprises to fully leverage India’s talent and enhance the connections in skill, innovation, and industry.
Speaking at the ‘India-Germany CEOs Forum’ alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, PM Modi pointed out that India’s talent reservoir is well-equipped to propel innovation and productivity within the German manufacturing sector. He noted a significant rise in skill mobility, especially in the high-tech realm.
“In today’s tough global landscape, India is advancing with over 8 percent growth. This achievement is not attributed to a single factor but rather a series of ongoing and comprehensive reforms. The private sector is being fostered across various domains, including defense, space, mining, and nuclear energy. The compliance landscape is continually being simplified, and the ease of doing business is on the rise. These initiatives have positioned India as a beacon of growth and optimism on the global stage,” PM Modi stated.
The India-EU Free Trade Agreement is also on the horizon.
“This development will herald a new era for our trade, investment, and collaboration. The pathway is clear for you. I invite German precision and innovation to synergize with India’s vast scale and speed. You can manufacture in India, capitalize on local demand, and export with ease,” he emphasized.
Chancellor Merz selected India as the first stop on his inaugural visit to Asia.
“This choice underscores India’s pivotal role in Germany’s diversification strategy and reflects Germany’s confidence in India. In accordance with this trust, we have made several significant decisions today. Firstly, we have resolved to make this economic partnership seamless and boundless. This means that both traditional and strategic sectors will witness deeper collaboration,” PM Modi shared.
The two leading democratic economies will enhance partnerships in crucial and emerging technologies.
“We are partners in the semiconductor field. Additionally, there are vast opportunities in power electronics, biotech, fintech, pharma, quantum technologies, and cybersecurity. We all understand that the India-Germany alliance is not only advantageous for both nations but also beneficial for the global community. India is on the path to becoming a global leader in green hydrogen, solar energy, wind energy, and biofuels,” the Prime Minister stressed.
For German firms, there are significant prospects in manufacturing solar cells, electrolyzers, batteries, and wind turbines.
“Together, we can devise solutions for global challenges spanning e-mobility to food and health security. India has an inclusive vision for AI, and when Germany’s AI framework integrates with it, we can ensure a human-centric digital future,” PM Modi highlighted.
The Chancellor visited with a high-level delegation, consisting of 23 prominent German CEOs and industry leaders.
