Kolkata, May 8 (NationPress) On Thursday, Amit Malviya, the Chief of BJP’s Information Technology Cell and central observer for West Bengal, asserted that the citizens of the state are enduring hardships due to a power struggle between Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, who is also the general secretary of the Trinamool Congress.
Malviya shared his thoughts through a post on his official X handle, where he referred to Abhishek as Bhaipo (nephew) and khokababu (young boy).
“On one side is Mamata, and on the other is Bhaipo; the struggle for power is evident! But who pays the price? Who is suffering from this greed and betrayal? The ordinary people of Bengal,” Malviya stated.
He further accused the Trinamool Congress leader of being involved in all significant financial scams in the state.
“From the corridors of SSC to the coal mines of Bengal, from cattle vans at the borders to lottery syndicates that exploit the vulnerable, every scam points to a common culprit: Khokababu, Abhishek Banerjee. His ultimate goal is to seize power for himself—he aims to dominate and exploit Bengal!” Malviya asserted.
He expressed confidence that the people of West Bengal would respond decisively to the Trinamool Congress during the 2026 assembly elections.
“Bengal has suffered enough! In 2026, Bengal will rise and thwart the sinister plans of the Pishi-Bhaipo (aunt-nephew) duo to seize the power they crave. Soibe Na Aar Bangla (West Bengal will not tolerate anymore),” his statement emphasized.
In a similar post last week, Malviya accused Mamata Banerjee’s administration of allowing rampant corruption and attacks on Hindu religious festivals to become commonplace in West Bengal.
“Under Mamata’s leadership, Bengal has seen nothing but bomb blasts at Pujo pandals and fraudulent job schemes. Temples have been targeted, and crores have been misappropriated by her ministers—leaving Bengalis starving, devoid of jobs and dignity. Her speeches might be impressive, but her legacy? Smuggling, scamming, and silencing Sanatanis,” Malviya wrote last week.
