Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme Alleviates Financial Challenges for Farmers in Himachal Pradesh

Mandi, Dec 5 (NationPress) Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central government has rolled out multiple welfare initiatives aimed at the general public, with Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme being a major highlight.
Farmers benefiting from this scheme in the Mandi and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh have expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the advantages they have gained.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi has emerged as a significant support for farmers.
In the past, small-scale farmers were compelled to incur debt for farming, but now, receiving Rs 2,000 three times a year has significantly alleviated their agricultural burdens. The initiative was inaugurated in 2018 during the Rabi season.
Farmers in the Mandi and Kullu regions of Himachal Pradesh are joyfully celebrating the advantages of the Kisan Samman Nidhi, with a palpable sense of happiness on their faces. Additionally, the scheme has sparked an increased interest in agriculture among the youth.
Chaman Lal, a farmer who benefits from the scheme, remarked: "While the government has introduced numerous programs, the Kisan Samman Nidhi stands out as the most beneficial. PM Modi's initiative is enhancing our economic and social standing. We are immensely grateful to him. Before this scheme, farmers faced hardships and had to depend on banks or other institutions for agricultural needs. To procure quality seeds for optimal yields, farmers were reliant on external sources."
Dharmchandra, a young farmer from Kullu, shared that farming and horticulture have been a family tradition for many years.
"In the past, people endured significant hardships and frequently had to borrow money for seeds and fertilizers. However, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has been a tremendous help. Our financial situation has improved, allowing us to concentrate more on farming. I urge the government to increase the payments from three to four times a year," he stated.
Scientist Dr. Pankaj Sood observed: "For the last three years, farmers have consistently received payments in their accounts through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. While the amount may seem modest, it provides crucial assistance to farmers. Often, farmers lack funds for seeds and fertilizers, and this scheme offers them significant support. The regular, thrice-yearly payment is a substantial aid to the farming community."
