Bhubaneswar, April 5 (NationPress) In response to escalating protests regarding the integration of the Palasa-Ichchapuram segment into the newly established South Coast Railway (SCoR) zone, the Indian Railways clarified on Sunday that this transition will not impact the revenue of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) nor will it disrupt train operations along the route.
An official announcement from the South Coast Railway highlighted that the Palasa–Ichchapuram section, which spans approximately 50 kilometers, includes seven stations: Palasa, Summadevi, Mandasa Road, Baruva, Sompeta, Jhadupudi, and Ichchapuram. Notably, all these stations are situated in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, with none located in Odisha.
