Jaipur, Dec 4 (NationPress) The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan has ramped up its efforts against fraudsters who are compromising the integrity of recruitment exams in the state.

Additional Director General of Police (SOG) Vishal Bansal revealed that in connection with the dummy candidate scandal from the Gram Sevak Recruitment Exam-2016, the primary suspect, Ladu Ram Vishnoi, who secured a government position through deceitful means and had a bounty of Rs 10,000 on his head, has been apprehended.

The investigation was triggered by a complaint indicating that Ladu Ram Vishnoi had not personally taken the 2016 Gram Sevak examination. Instead, he is alleged to have employed a dummy candidate to take the test on his behalf.

Initial inquiries validated these claims, leading the SOG to file a case and conduct a thorough probe. The investigation revealed that Ladu Ram had supposedly contracted Gopal Vishnoi, son of Jagdish Vishnoi from Barmer, to impersonate him during the exam.

In a twist, Gopal Vishnoi, the impersonator, was already working as a second-grade teacher in Jodhpur. He had been arrested previously in this case on December 19, 2024.

Following the initiation of this case, Ladu Ram had been evading capture by frequently changing locations.

Consequently, the SOG announced a Rs 10,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest. Through technical surveillance, intelligence gathering, and consistent monitoring, the SOG successfully detained him on December 1.

The suspect is originally from Gadra Nedinadi, Tehsil Dhorimanna, District Barmer.

The SOG aims to broaden its investigation to uncover the entire network associated with this fraudulent recruitment scheme.

ADG Vishal Bansal emphasized that the main objectives include identifying others who participated in the impersonation scheme, assessing whether additional candidates employed similar tactics, and determining if an organized syndicate was behind this racket.

The SOG reaffirmed its dedication to eradicating corruption within the state's merit-based selection processes.

Point of View

I believe that the exposure of this dummy candidate racket is a significant step towards restoring faith in recruitment processes. The SOG's swift action not only highlights their commitment to transparency but also serves as a warning to those who attempt to manipulate systems meant to uphold merit and fairness.
