Mumbai, July 3 (NationPress) BJP MLA Ram Kadam on Thursday launched a fierce criticism of the Shiv Sena (UBT), alleging that the former Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government systematically erased crucial evidence in the Disha Salian case as part of a larger conspiracy.
Kadam’s comments followed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) revealing to the Bombay High Court that their investigation into the death of Disha Salian—the former manager of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput—found no indications of foul play. Nevertheless, the SIT confirmed that their investigation is still ongoing.
In an interview with IANS, Ram Kadam stated, “In the Disha Salian case, the previous Uddhav Thackeray administration obliterated all evidence as part of a conspiracy. Had the evidence not been tampered with, the true culprits would have been brought to light. The government and police were completely under their influence. Why was the evidence destroyed? Who were they shielding?”
He further connected this case to other notorious incidents during the Thackeray administration, including the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and the Palghar lynching incident.
“These were not isolated events; they were heinous cover-ups orchestrated by the previous government,” he asserted.
Addressing Salian’s grieving family, Kadam remarked, “Disha Salian’s father has lost his daughter, a pain that can never be alleviated. However, they are being denied justice due to the intentional destruction of evidence. Sanjay Raut and others in the Opposition must clarify who tampered with the evidence and why?”
Kadam also praised the highest civilian honor awarded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama.
“This honor is not solely for PM Modi, but for 1.4 billion Indians. The global community is starting to acknowledge India’s prominent role,” Kadam commented.
On another note, Kadam expressed concern regarding a disturbing incident in Pune, where a 22-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by a courier delivery person in her upscale apartment complex. The police reported that the suspect entered her home while she was checking her phone for an OTP.
“We will conduct a thorough investigation into the Pune incident. No one will evade justice—just as no one has ever escaped accountability under our administration,” Kadam concluded.
