Mumbai, March 22 (NationPress) The Bombay High Court is set to review a petition submitted by Satish Salian, the father of the deceased Disha Salian, on April 2. This petition requests the filing of an FIR against Aaditya Thackeray, a leader from the Shiv Sena (UBT), along with others concerning Disha’s demise. In response, Aaditya Thackeray has firmly rejected all allegations made against him.

In the petition, Satish Salian asserts that his daughter hosted a gathering at her home on June 8, 2020, which was attended by Aaditya Thackeray and actors Sooraj Pancholi and Dino Morea.

He contends that there are unresolved questions about the circumstances surrounding her death and has urged the court to instruct authorities to file an FIR and carry out a comprehensive investigation.

A copy of the petition has also been delivered to former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede through the attorney representing Satish Salian.

Wankhede’s attorney, Advocate Faiz Merchant, indicated that his client plans to submit a detailed affidavit to the High Court, responding to all issues raised in the petition while clarifying his involvement in the matter.

In the course of legal proceedings, Wankhede is expected to provide significant evidence gathered during his official inquiry, particularly concerning Rhea Chakraborty and Aaditya Thackeray.

Reports suggest that Wankhede’s affidavit, which was prepared prior to the petition's submission, was shared with the media and includes serious allegations that might implicate several prominent figures.

The court is anticipated to evaluate the case based on Satish Salian’s request, focusing on the events leading to Disha’s tragic death. The outcome of this hearing could represent a critical juncture in the investigation.

Disha Salian, who previously managed the late Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput, died on June 8, 2020, after reportedly falling from the 14th floor of a Mumbai high-rise. At that time, the Mumbai Police filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR).

Six days later, Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered dead at his residence in Bandra. As the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) assumed oversight of the actor’s death inquiry, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was established by the Maharashtra government in 2023 to delve into Disha’s death.

In the meantime, the Shiv Sena has called for a CBI inquiry into Disha Salian’s death. Party representatives have demanded an investigation into the actions of former Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, questioning whether there was undue influence on Disha’s family.
